30-something
Wednesday, December 20th, 2006Yes, I have turned 30. And frankly, it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. Since I am away from most of my friends (the mapang-asar ones to be specific), I was spared from the "jokes" that usually went with getting a year older (and wiser, if I may add!).
Anyway, there will be a separate post on what I did (and didn’t) to celebrate my 30th. This post is about the 30 "things" I am thankful for (in no particular order).
- Gift of Life
- Family
- Very close friends (all shapes and sizes)
- Education (a good one at that)
- And being able to continue studying up to now (when it has become more of a hindrance to my tv-watching)
- Work (lahat ng work, mula sa una kong trabaho)
- Money from work (i’m not a hypocrite, i need the money)
- Knowing how to drive (and having one to drive syempre)
- Opportunity to travel
- Archie Comics (at ang aking hilig sa pagbabasa)
- Harry Potter books and movies
- Gilmore Girls and Seventh Heaven
- The experience of living on my own
- and at the same time having friends i can count on in this faraway land
- Kiwi friends too!
- Basketball and Jolas (yeah, I still am a fan)
- Internet/Email/YM
- Mobile Phone/Telephone
- ABS-CBN now
- DVD recorder/Laptop/Cameras (pang entertain yan)
- Nature - lalo na ang beaches
- Teleseryes (BWN, SPM, MSKM, etc)
- Knowing how to cook (enough meals to get me through, hahaha)
- Noodles anghang (ano na lang ang buhay kung wala nito)
- Friendster (sige na nga!)
- I can carry a tune (oo, mas pipiliin ko ito kaysa sumayaw)
- The flat I am renting (perfect!)
- Love of writing
- Music (ni Christian, Martin, MYMP atbp)
- Reaching 30!
Of course there are countless things to be thankful for but sa ngayon, ito muna ang nasa listahan ko.
Merry Christmas to all! Remember to count your blessings before anything else. If you do this, you won’t have time to even think about the not so good things that have happened to you.
